Your October Open Event

What talks and sessions can I attend?

How to get here

Our brand-new Mabgate Campus is within walking distance of both Leeds Bus Station (around 5-10 minutes walk) and Leeds Train Station (around 20-25 minutes walk.)

We recommend arriving by public transport if possible.

For directions, enter the postcode LS9 7DZ or search 'University Centre Leeds Mabgate' on Google Maps

Parking

Due to its city-centre location, University Centre Leeds does not have a car park.

There are a small number of 4-hour parking bays situated along Mabgate itself. There is also limited on-street meter parking in some nearby streets. We recommend you allow plenty of time to find parking, as on-street parking can be in high demand.

The Victoria Leeds multi-storey car park and NCP The Markets multi-storey car park are both approximately a 5-10 minute walk from our Mabgate Campus.

If you require disabled parking - see our Accessibility information for nearby options.

Accessibility Information

• Most sessions are held at our Mabgate Campus, which offers lift access and has step-free access throughout. Disabled toilet facilities are available.

• Some talks will take place in our Creative Arts space, located in the nearby Mabgate Studios building, which also has step-free access throughout. Disabled toilet facilities in this building are accessible with a Radar key.

• There may also be an optional tour of Quarry Hill for those interested in Performing Arts and Production Arts. Quarry Hill is a ten-minute walk from the Mabgate Campus, and is fully wheelchair accessible.

• Whether touring facilities in our main Mabgate Campus building, or travelling between buildings, our staff are happy to go at whatever pace suits you.

• All talk venues include seating and can accommodate wheelchairs or mobility aids.

• A quiet space can be made available upon request.

Disabled Parking

• Unfortunately, University Centre Leeds does not have any on-site parking, and there are no dedicated Blue Badge parking bays available on Mabgate.

• There is a limited amount of free on-street parking close to our Mabgate Campus, however this is all public parking and can be in high-demand.

• The nearest dedicated on-street Blue Badge parking is on Macaulay Street, adjacent to Mabgate. There are also 8 Blue Badge bays outside Leeds Playhouse, in Playhouse Square, around a 5-10 minute walk from our Mabgate Campus, although both locations can be busy.

• In addition, there are a number of Blue Badge spaces at both Victoria Leeds and NCP The Markets multi-storey car parks (parking charges apply), approximately 5-10 minutes from our Mabgate Campus.

If you have any questions before the event or would like to discuss your specific access needs, please don’t hesitate to get in touch -  email us at hello@ucleeds.ac.uk. Our team will also be on hand throughout the day to offer support wherever needed.

We want to make your visit as enjoyable and stress-free as possible.
