What to expect?

Come and explore our Temple Newsam Home Farm Campus, set within a unique working farm and historic estate. The campus offers specialist, industry-standard facilities designed to support animal management learning in a real-world setting.

The event will include a guided tour of the campus, including Home Farm and our animal care centre. You will also hear from the course leader, who will provide an overview of the course, including module content and assessment methods.

Registration

You will be sent a QR code to sign in with on the day. However, you are also welcome to register upon arrival if needed.

Registration will take place at the main entrance to Temple Newsam Home Farm and will open from 10:00am, with the event closing at 12:00pm

How to get here

Temple Newsam Home Farm Campus is located within the historic Temple Newsam estate on the outskirts of Leeds and is accessible by public transport and car. We recommend planning your journey in advance, particularly when travelling by bus.

For directions, please search ‘Temple Newsam Home Farm or LS15 0BG’ on Google Maps or use your satellite navigation for the Temple Newsam estate and follow signs to Home Farm.

Bus
First Bus services 19 and 19A run to Whitkirk, which is approximately 1 mile from Temple Newsam.

Rail
Cross Gates Railway Station is 1.9 miles away, around a 35‑minute walk from the campus.

Car
From the M1, take junction 46 and follow signs for Temple Newsam. Paid on-site parking is available across the estate. Please note that on event days there may be road closures and overflow car parks in use.

Parking

University Centre Leeds uses the parking facilities within the Temple Newsam estate. Parking charges apply, and payment is managed in line with the estate’s parking arrangements.

There are a limited number of designated disabled parking spaces available on site, located close to the Home Farm campus buildings.

Visitors are advised to follow on-site signage and any instructions provided by staff when arriving.

As parking is limited, particularly during busy events, we recommend allowing extra time when planning your journey.
